Mater Private Cork have an exciting opportunity for Medical SHOs to join our Mater Private Network Team for July 2026.

Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
Follow the Hospital admissions process by documenting History and Physical examination using the designated Initial Medical Assessment Form.
Assess/review and document findings for patients as requested by the attending Consultant and/or Nursing Staff in a timely manner.
To review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made and inform the consultant or relevant registrar of any issues or problems.
Prescribe medications for patients as required i.e. as directed by consultant.
Participate in ward rounds.
Complete the discharge process with an electronic discharge letter.
To assist in the education of colleagues, medical students, and staff.
Respond to any adverse occurrences e.g., injuries, falls, sudden illnesses etc suffered by patients, visitors, or staff.
Contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives wherever possible.
Engage in technological developments as they apply to the patient and service administration.
Skills & Qualifications
Registration with IMC
Irish healthcare experience desirable
