Head Greenkeeper Position
A key responsibility of the Head Greenkeeper is to oversee the maintenance of the golf course to a consistent standard. This involves leading and directing the greenkeeping and course maintenance team, implementing and managing turf care programmes, maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, and utilising this data to inform decision-making and strategy.

* Lead and direct the greenkeeping and course maintenance team
* Implement and manage turf care programmes
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, weather conditions, and turf health
* Utilise data to inform decision-making and strategy
* Provide input into the development of the course management plan
* Manage the budget for course maintenance in liaison with senior management
* Implement agreed sustainable practices into the management of the golf course
* Maintain all machinery and equipment to the required maintenance and safety standards
* Implement agreed course improvement projects
* Maintain good standards that meet Health & Safety (H.S.A.) and Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) standards
* Record Plant Protection Products (PPP) use on the APTI Sustainable portal
* Communicate with members regarding course conditions, maintenance schedules, and any course renovation programs
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years experience in golf course maintenance, with time spent in a supervisory/leadership role an advantage. They will also hold a minimum FETAC Level 6, equivalent or higher in a relevant qualification, with evidence of continuing professional development.
