Buyer (Full-Time) – Tralee Showroom
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to join our busy Tralee showroom team. This is a full-time, permanent role ideally suited to someone with a background in procurement or buying, who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Managing purchasing activities across key product categories within the showroom.
* Negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
* Monitoring stock levels and placing timely re-orders to ensure product availability.
* Working closely with the Sales Director and sales team to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
* Maintaining strong supplier relationships and conducting supplier evaluations.
* Liaising with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
* Managing and updating internal purchasing and inventory systems.
* Assisting with product sourcing and introducing new lines based on market trends and customer feedback.
* Ensuring all purchasing activity aligns with company budgets and quality standards.
Required Skills:
* Ideally 2 - 3 years’ experience in a procurement, buying, or supply chain role.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
* Excellent negotiation, organisational, and analytical skills.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook essential).
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Detail-oriented with strong numerical skills.
* Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and multitask in a deadline-driven environment.

* Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a Buyer or purchasing role
* Strong commercial awareness and customer-first mindset
* Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory software
* Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
* Experience in bathrooms, tiles or home retail sector
* Familiarity with inventory or procurement software (e.g. Intact)
* Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
