The Role of International Sourcing Leader
About the Job
We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead our international sourcing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement leadership and experience in category management.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute international category strategies for assigned spend areas.
* Share category expertise with other members of the team.
* Serve as the international business unit sourcing owner for designated categories.
* Apply strategic sourcing processes using project management skills and techniques.
* Manage supplier relationships alongside business areas.
* Lead negotiations and develop contracts within the area of responsibility.
* Oversee the sourcing/tendering process using Ariba tools.
* Provide commercial advice to business areas as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proven track record in procurement leadership.
* Experience in procurement/category management.
* PREFERRED INTERNATIONAL PROCUREMENT EXPERIENCE.
* Ability to interpret and evaluate multiple sources of information.
* Effective communication skills to develop strong relationships.
* Commercially aware with a proactive attitude.
* Capability to lead multiple projects and internal customer groups.
* Skilled in external interactions and negotiations.
* Self-motivated and capable of seeking opportunities proactively.
* Proficient in working with minimal close guidance.
Education Requirements
* Degree level education in procurement, business administration, finance, or any discipline with relevant experience.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English.
* CIPS/IIPMM/ISM qualification and/or relevant procurement experience.
* Good IT literacy with the Microsoft Office suite & SAP/Ariba.
