FLSAutomation Engineer
SimoTech has a requirement to join our Automation Front LineSupport (FLS) Team, working on sitesupporting one of our clients atalarge-scale greenfield biopharmaceutical facility in Limerick. The successfulcandidate willbe responsible formaintainingand optimisingtheDeltaVsystem,ensuring the smoothoperationandoptimisationof critical automationsystems,all while ensuringcompliancewith industry standards.
Inthis role you will be a key member of the 24/7, Automation FLSTeam tasked with maintaining and performing preventative andcorrective tasks for the automation systems, in accordance withGAMP standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’experience as a DeltaV Automation Engineer, with hands on batchprogramming skills, within the life sciences industries.
KeyResponsibilities
Providereal-time front-line support to Automation InformationSystems (AIS) in accordance with GAMP standards.
Maintainthe automated systems by performing preventative andcorrective maintenance tasks for automation systems.
Diagnoseand troubleshoot control system software and hardware issues.
Diagnoseprocess issues related to the control systems.
Identifysolutions to problems.
Workclosely with operational staff at all levels of the client organisation.
Maintainsystem documentation.
Augmentprogramming code for manufacturing equipment.
Prepareand present structured, comprehensive, detailed writtenreports.
Requirements
KeyRequirements
Bachelor’sdegree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences orequivalent. 5 years’ experience as a DeltaVAutomation Engineer, within the life sciences industries.
Previous siteexperience on a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Batchautomation project.
Excellentdiagnostic skills with the ability to think laterally.
Strong knowledgeof S-88 Batch industry standard is essential with onsiteexposure to batch process preferred.
Knowledge andfamiliarity with regulated industry standards, includingexposure to cGMP, GAMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
Workingknowledge MES Syncade is desirable.
Excellentcommunication skills and interpersonal skills.
Willing to workshifts and in a team environment.
