Fixed Term Outdoor Facilities Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Outdoor Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of outdoor facilities.
The successful candidate will have experience in project administration, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with landowners, farmers, and community groups to ensure that goodwill is maintained and concerns/issues are addressed.
You will be responsible for:
* Management, coordination, and implementation of the recommendations of the Management Plan
* Conducting project and financial administration, record keeping, reporting, and filing of relevant documents
* Coordinating, organizing, and inspecting trail maintenance with relevant management and committees
* Development and record keeping and reporting on financial matters, visitor numbers, health and safety, conservation, unauthorized activity
* Liaising with landowners on a range of matters
* Providing support to management and relevant teams and departments
* Liaising regularly with landowners, farmers, representative groups, and communities/community groups
* Liaising and organizing studies with trail users/visitors to gather feedback/comments and address concerns where they arise
* Working closely with various stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in management, maintenance, and upkeep of outdoor facilities
* Experience and knowledge of project and financial administration, recording and reporting on expenditure, purchasing, etc., and maintaining records/accounts, etc.
* Ability to work effectively with several stakeholder organizations
* Experience of trail monitoring and maintenance or similar relevant experience
* An excellent understanding of the needs of farmers and landowners (desirable but not essential to have at least 12 months' experience of engaging and working with farmers)
* Willingness to undertake training in areas relevant to the post
* Knowledge and interest in natural heritage, environment, and sustainability
* Some experience/knowledge in tourism marketing and product promotion
* Sufficient and adequate IT and computer skills to carry out the role and the various elements of the work
* Ability to work effectively with a network of individuals and organizations
* The candidate must have a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential) in Construction, Rural/Community Development/Outdoor Recreation
* Ideally the candidate will have relevant experience in dealing with the farming community
* Good interpersonal and communication skills and a knowledge of farming and rural issues/concerns
* Must hold a current full driving license and have access to their own transport
This role offers a competitive salary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The duties will primarily be performed onsite in west Co. Clare, or any other place of business as designated by management, during operating hours.
The post holder may be required to work or be assigned to other locations as required. The post will be operational on seven days a week basis according to a monthly published roster in advance with extended hours at certain times according to seasonal business requirements.
