Overview
We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our cleaning day crew at Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath. As a General Operative, you will be responsible for general operations, facilitating the production plan, and ensuring safe operations and cleanliness of the plant.
Key Responsibilities
* Adhere to and promote the highest level of safety standards.
* Assist the safety coordinator and plant management on safety issues.
* Uphold the values and culture of the business.
* Carry out inspections.
* Perform general labourer duties.
* Drive loading shovels, forklifts, telehandlers, mini diggers, and other mobile equipment.
* Clean spillages and machines in various areas of the plant.
* Assist in dealing with breakdowns.
* Maintain the general upkeep of the site.
* Participate in safety walks and reporting.
* Work outside of daytime hours if needed.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Safety at the core: Ability to work safely and accurately.
* Maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach to your job and set high standards for yourself and your co-workers.
* Excellent communication skills to ensure everyone is on the same page.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team to get the job done.
* Full Driving Licence.
