Mechanical Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector

Responsibilities
Inspect and verify the quality of mechanical installations, including piping systems, HVAC equipment, ductwork, valves, supports, and associated components.
Conduct walkdowns, audits, and inspections at various stages of installation.
Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, mechanical codes, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
Check and sign off on installation records, test sheets, redline/as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
Liaise with mechanical supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to address non-conformances or quality issues.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety Authority (HSA) regulations and site safety requirements.
Participate in quality control meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Mechanical Technician or Engineer; additional certification in Quality Management is advantageous.
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in mechanical QA/QC roles on industrial or large commercial projects; Semiconductor Tool Install experience is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and best practices.
Experience with mechanical testing procedures and documentation control.
Strong attention to detail and familiarity with quality control systems and procedures (e.g., ISO ****).
Competent in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, and QA checklists.
Desirable
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., semiconductor, pharma, data centres, or cleanroom projects).
Proficiency with digital QA platforms and reporting tools (e.g., EIDA, BIM 360, or similar).
Working Conditions
Site-based role with regular inspections in active construction environments.
All personnel are required to adhere to site rules and always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
