The Department of Health currently has a vacancy for a Principal Officer – Public Health in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This senior level position offers the successful candidate a dynamic, satisfying and varied role, with competitive terms and conditions.
Main Duties of the Job
Reporting to the CMO, the Principal Officer – Public Health will be responsible for the management of public health policy and legislation and providing expert public health advice to the CMO. In addition, they will support, lead and create intersectoral partnerships to ensure Ireland has a strong health security competency.
