The Team and the Opportunity
The EY Financial Services Risk Consulting team is growing, and we are expanding our Conduct Risk team. We seek candidates with deep knowledge of conduct risk and consumer protection, excellent communication skills, and a desire to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. You will work on projects delivering risk management solutions, assess conduct risks, and support compliance with Irish Consumer Protection regulations. You will also act as a subject matter expert and contribute to training programs, leveraging transformation capabilities to drive change and improve operational efficiency.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership: Manage client resources and team members, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
2. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes, advise clients on industry trends, and ensure compliance.
3. Risk Assessment: Identify conduct risks within client organizations considering the financial landscape.
4. Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies to address conduct risks and ensure high standards of consumer protection.
5. Industry Insights: Provide intelligence on conduct risk matters and share knowledge with the team.
6. Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and clients, translating needs into solutions.
7. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports on conduct risk assessments and recommendations.
8. Practice Management: Lead delivery on complex engagements, oversee project standards, and develop client solutions.
9. Project Management & Transformation: Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and compliance, using PMO methodologies.
10. Billing & Time Management: Ensure timely delivery and accurate invoicing, optimizing resource use.
11. Personal Development: Continuously update industry and regulatory knowledge to drive innovation.
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; 10+ years' experience in conduct risk and consumer protection, especially in Ireland.
* Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and regulatory interpretation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage complex projects and teams.
* Experience with European and Irish regulatory environments.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
* Professional risk management or compliance certifications.
* Project/program management experience.
