We are looking for a Full-time experienced Facilities Technician to join our team in DonegalMonday to Sunday 36 Hours per week (Night Shift hours)Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo carry out a range of technical duties to cover mechanical, electrical, and some general building fabric maintenance, which will consist of some general operative tasks.To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control as per the Plant CMMS / CAFM systemProactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues, to maximise equipment uptimeServicing of electrical, mechanical, and non-technical equipmentLiaise with the service desk/supervisor and respond to all non-technical and technical queries promptly to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level AgreementTo carry out fault finding and repairs to broken down equipment, contact and coordinate service engineers where external assistance is requiredMaintain appropriate records in line with requirements and assist in the installation of new plant and equipmentTo keep all business unit leads informed and updated at all times in relation to equipment issuesLiaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problemsAssist with the drive for 'Cost Reduction Initiatives' across the site, from providing ideas through to implementation. This should also include Energy Saving Opportunities (ESOs)To be a self-performing Electrician and continuously strive for self-improvementEnsure any training deemed necessary by your line manager is completed within the agreed timeframeMust be willing to take on and familiarize with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary to complete the roleMaintain an internal ‘Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvementsAssist with all queries regarding quotations and purchasing when requestedMaintain and maximize use of the client CMMS / CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system and ensure all works are completed and closed within the agreed timeframeSourcing and stocking of spare parts as required to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained in accordance with client requirementsQualifications and ExperienceElectrical Senior Trades or Diploma in a relevant engineering disciplineExperience in the following areas - Utilities / FacilitiesFormal training/certification in any of the above would be advantageousBasic computer knowledge essentialProven track record in Preventative and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment.
