Financial Analyst - Performance Optimisation Specialist

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team as a Performance Optimisation Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with senior management to support the achievement of financial targets and contribute to the growth of the organisation.

You will be responsible for analysing financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and developing recommendations to optimise performance. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to accurately update and maintain organisational data, ensuring that financial modelling and forecasting are accurate and reliable.

This is a key role in ensuring the business sets and meets appropriate financial targets through assisting in the collation of key financial data and ensuring management has all available information for senior-level decision making. You will prepare monthly management reporting packs to monitor and explain business performance, including performance variance analysis, and assist in the preparation of presentation packs for the management team.

Your Responsibilities

- Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
- Develop recommendations to optimise performance and improve financial outcomes;
- Accurately update and maintain organisational data to support financial modelling and forecasting;
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs to monitor and explain business performance;
- Assist in the preparation of presentation packs for the management team;

Requirements

- Third-level degree in Finance, Business or STEM-related field;
- Working toward a professional accounting qualification;
- Experience with MS Excel;
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills;

- Strong financial modelling skills;
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to articulate messages to different stakeholders across the organization and to external parties;
- Self-motivated - with a strong work ethic and an ability to service multiple work-streams and stakeholders simultaneously;
- Agility and flexibility - demonstrate agility and ability to get things done in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment;
