Overview
A leading Irish Agri supplier, headquartered in North Dublin, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to head up its finance team. They are seeking a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant to oversee a wide range of financial, operational, and administrative functions. This pivotal role ensures the efficient running of the business and calls for a proactive professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a practical, hands-on mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Financial Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial strategy, and performance analysis to support senior management decisions.
- Ensure accurate month-end, statutory, and compliance reporting, including Revenue, CSO, and REPAK submissions.
- Manage working capital, FX exposure, credit control, and implement cost and risk control measures.
- Drive system improvements and support team development through effective financial leadership.
Requirements
- The successful Senior Financial Accountant will be Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA with strong technical and analytical skills.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts role in an Irish Industry or Practice role
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting tools preferrable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across finance and operational teams.
- A keen interest in the day to day running of the business
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: €70,000 to €80,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications).
