GEDON Executive is partnering with a leadingTier 1 Builderin their search for an experiencedSenior Quantity Surveyorto join their dedicatedData Centredivision inDublin, Ireland. This is a premium opportunity for a commercially astute professional with a main contractor background to take a high-impact role on complex, large-scale hyperscale data centre projects.As a Senior Quantity Surveyor on the Data Centre team, you will be a key commercial leader, responsible for the full financial management of packages or phases of these multi-million euro developments. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating risk, driving profitability, and ensuring contractual compliance in a fast-paced and technically demanding sector.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of assigned work packages, including budget control, forecasting, and the preparation of accurate, detailed Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) .Contract Administration: Lead the administration of subcontracts and liaise with the client/PQS on the main contract, ensuring strict adherence to contractual terms (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, NEC).Subcontractor Procurement: Manage the procurement cycle from tender enquiry through to final account, including negotiation and effective management of the supply chain.Change Control: Proactively identify, measure, value, and negotiate all variations and claims, ensuring timely agreement and maximised commercial entitlement.Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities specific to the complex M&E and CSA elements of data centre construction.Reporting: Produce clear and detailed commercial reports and cost summaries for senior management and project stakeholders.What You'll BringProven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environment in Ireland or the UK.Sector Expertise: Direct commercial experience on Data Centre, Pharma, or large-scale M&E/Technical projects is essential.Commercial Acumen: Exceptional financial management skills, strong negotiation ability, and a meticulous eye for contractual detail.Contractual Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts, with experience on technical, fast-track contracts being highly valued.Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of leading commercial discussions and mentoring junior staff.Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.What Our Client OffersA competitive salary up to €110,000, commensurate with your expertise in this niche sector.The opportunity to work on cutting-edge hyperscale data centre projects for a globally recognised Tier 1 Builder .A high-performance, specialised team environment with exceptional career progression opportunities.Exposure to international best practices and advanced construction methodologies.The GEDON AdvantageGEDON Executive is a global search firm specialising in the preconstruction & project controls sector, with a strong network of leading contractors and consultancies in Dublin and across Ireland.
