Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor to join our team in a challenging role that will see you working closely with various departments to provide legal advice and support.
Main Responsibilities:
* To conduct and manage legal files allocated to the solicitor, including securing instructions from client departments, advising on legal issues, instructing counsel, conducting legal proceedings, and managing legal transactions.
* To participate in team meetings, administer allocated legal files, and ensure compliance with office policies and procedures.
* To assist client departments in developing legally robust policies and procedures, and work proactively to progress and manage files, deliver results, and provide value for money to the organization.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Conveyancing: Residential and commercial acquisition and disposal of property, landlord and tenant advisory services, licenses and easements, and provision of advice on all aspects of property transactions.

* Data Protection: Advisory and management work in relation to compliance with legislation and providing support to the Data Protection Officer.
* Administration and management of legal case work assigned to the candidate.
Requirements:
* Good character and a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
* Adequate experience of conveyancing and court work as a Solicitor.
* High standard of professional training and experience, including current practicing certificate from the relevant governing body or entitlement to hold such a certificate.
* Excellent professional knowledge and skills, strong knowledge of general conveyancing, and working knowledge of litigation.
* Excellent IT skills, proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to conduct legal research using commonly used online applications and legal websites.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, ability to engage with a wide range of people, and flexibility and adaptability.
