Opportunity Overview
Are you an experienced Project Manager passionate about delivering transformative roads and transportation projects? We are partnering with a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, expanding their Roads & Active Travel team in Cork. This role offers the chance to lead multi-disciplinary design teams, manage complex project lifecycles, and mentor future engineers, shaping Ireland's transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage multi-discipline roads, active travel, and site development projects.
2. Oversee contract and commercial management to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
3. Coordinate all design stages from feasibility to construction.
4. Mentor and line-manage junior staff, fostering their technical and leadership skills.
5. Engage in work-winning activities, including bid preparation and client engagement.
Candidate Profile
We seek a motivated individual with:
1. A Level 8/9 Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
2. Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or recognized equivalent.
3. Proven experience managing transportation projects in Ireland and/or the UK.
4. Expertise across project phases: feasibility, planning, design, tendering, and construction.
5. Strong commercial and contract management skills (PWC, NEC, Irish Conditions of Engagement, etc.).
6. Knowledge of relevant standards (TII, NTA, etc.).
7. Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
8. A full Irish or EU driving license.
