About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate leader to serve as the Person In Charge of our new residential home in Cavan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the children and young people we support receive the highest quality of care, safety, and support.
Your primary focus will be on leading the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the home, with a strong emphasis on empowering young people affected by complex trauma. You will work closely with our Social Care team to deliver a high-quality service that promotes young people's safety, well-being, and development.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement strategies to promote the highest standards of support working with young people affected by complex trauma.
2. Leverage strong motivational leadership and staff management skills to drive excellent outcomes.
3. Ensure effective day-to-day running of the home, maintaining a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
4. Collaborate closely with regional directors, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and kindness.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3-4 years post-qualification experience in children's residential care (depending on qualification level).
2. QQI Level 7/8 in Social Care or equivalent qualification.
3. Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
4. Full clean driver's licence (held for more than one year).
