Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer with strong expertise in Elasticsearch and experience in .NET, Java, or Python. This is a remote role; however, candidates must be based in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems focusing on Elasticsearch integration.
2. Manage data integration between Elasticsearch and SQL databases.
3. Design and optimize search solutions, including indexing, mapping, querying, and performance tuning in Elasticsearch.
4. Implement and maintain Elastic Stack components like Kibana, Logstash, Beats.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, scalable systems.
6. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
7. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Proven experience with .NET (C#), Java, or Python.
2. Expertise in Elasticsearch development, optimization, and scaling.
3. Strong knowledge of SQL database design and performance tuning.
4. Experience with Elastic Stack tools such as Kibana, Logstash, Beats.
5. Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
6. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based Elasticsearch services.
7. Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
8. Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
