Job Opportunity: QSHE Manager
Here at Kerry, we are currently recruiting for a QSHE Manager on a full-time, fixed-term (Maternity Leave) basis in Naas, County Kildare.
The QSHE Manager is responsible for implementing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices across all elements of service delivery, ensuring compliance with current legislation, codes of practice, and Kerry policies. They will drive continuous improvement initiatives and legal compliance at the GTIC, leading QSHE and sustainability objectives.
This position reports to our Regional Food and Safety Director. Although travel will be minimal, applicants should be aware that regional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and lead the operation and promotion of an integrated management system for QSHE.
2. Maintain environmental, health, safety, and wellbeing standards through systems, audits, and inspections.
3. Plan environmental, health, and safety strategies, including goal setting and performance management.
4. Maintain and assure the Quality, Food Safety, H&S, and Environmental Management Systems.
5. Implement QSHE and sustainability objectives aligned with regional and global strategies.
6. Integrate QSHE requirements into new projects at the GTIC.
7. Deliver technical training to promote a health and safety culture.
8. Handle insurance audits and coordinate safety committees and emergency response forums.
9. Act as site incident controller and develop food safety pre-requisites and HACCP plans.
10. Coordinate food safety audits and manage site risk assessments and environmental compliance.
11. Support certifications like ISO50001, Organic, SEDEX/SMETA, etc.
12. Report performance and suggest improvements during management reviews.
Qualifications and Skills
* Degree in Science or Engineering with OHS/Environmental/Sustainability qualification (Diploma level or higher).
* European language skills are advantageous but not essential.
Experience
* Proven experience with QHSE management systems and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
* Understanding of sustainability and ethical trading practices.
* Experience managing customer relationships.
Preferred Exposure
* Standards development, strategy development, supply chain insight, international standards, project/change management.
Competencies
* Ability to influence at all levels, effective communication and presentation skills, change management, computer literacy, and cross-functional collaboration.
