Early Years AIM Assistant required for Castle Park SchoolCastle Park School Dalkey have an opening in their Early Years department. The hours are from 9.30am until 12.30pm during school term time only, with appropriate breaks built into the day.The Role: The post holder will have responsibility to work directly with an identified child/children in one of our Kindergarten Pre-school (ECCE) classes. Their role will promote inclusive practice, offering the child/children an opportunity to participate fully in pre-school. The AIM assistant will support the child's access and inclusion into daily activities and routines while also encouraging group participation. Intense 1:1 support may be required to promote positive peer interactions and to support the child in daily self-care such as toileting, eating, washing hands. The overall goal is to support them in their educational, social and emotional development for the duration of their time in our pre-school service, promoting independence and preparing the child/children for the transition into the next stage of their education.Candidate Requirements:Have a Childcare qualification (minimum requirement Fetac Level 5)A minimum of 1/2 years of professional experience of working directly with pre-school children in an early year's setting.Ability to use initiative and display enthusiasm and an interest in supporting and empowering young children and their families.Have the ability to multi-task and enjoy working as part of a teamFluency in both spoken and written English is essential, as is good communication skillsJob Type: Part-timePay: €15.00 per hourBenefits:Food allowanceOn-site parkingSick payWork Location: In person
