Our client is a well‑established, privately owned organisation with operations across Ireland, and the UK. Operating within an engineering‑led, manufacturing and construction installation environment, the business is currently entering a period of continued growth and development.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Head of HR (Group / Multi‑Site) to join their Senior Leadership Team. This role will have responsibility for leading and implementing the organisation’s people strategy across multiple sites and jurisdictions.
The Group Head of HR will be responsible for ensuring the organisation has the appropriate workforce capability, leadership structures, and HR frameworks in place to support its strategic objectives.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will provide strategic direction while also ensuring effective day‑to‑day HR operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a group‑wide HR strategy aligned with overall business objectives
Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team on organisational design, workforce planning, and leadership capability
Lead talent acquisition strategies and oversee succession planning and leadership development initiatives
Manage employee and industrial relations matters across multiple sites
Support organisational change, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive employee engagement and performance management processes
Oversee learning and development programmes across the organisation
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and consistency of HR policies
Lead and develop the HR function across the group
The successful candidate will have significant experience operating at a senior HR leadership level within a multi‑site, operational environment.
Key requirements include:
Degree qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing, construction, engineering, or a similar sector
Proven experience managing HR across multiple sites or regions
Strong knowledge of employee relations and experience in unionised environments
Demonstrated ability to support organisational growth and change
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving capability
This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of a growing organisation, with responsibility for shaping and delivering its people strategy at group level.
