Healthcare Assistant Carebright Community Bruff - Full and Part Time
Location: CareBright Community, Bruff, Co Limerick
Type: Full-time (3 or 4 x 12 hr shifts over 7 days) or Part Time (1 to 2 shifts per week)
Hours: 3 or 4 12 hr shifts (48 hours) over 7 days or 1 or 2 shifts (24 hours) over 7 days
Salary: €14.80/hr; €16.80/hr (Premium rates for Nights, Sundays and Sunday Nights)
We operate a household model of care providing care based on the Butterfly approach for 18 people living in three homes, with 6 people in each home. All residents are living with dementia.

Responsibilities
* Build meaningful relationships with residents, promoting trust and understanding.
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and medication support as needed.
* Lead or support activities that encourage resident engagement, such as social events, hobbies, or exercise sessions.
* Monitor and report on resident wellbeing, communicating effectively with the care team.
* Create a warm, homelike atmosphere by going above and beyond to ensure residents feel valued and happy.
About You
You are an enthusiastic and empathetic person who loves connecting with others. You will also need:
* Working towards QQI Level 5 major award in Healthcare Support (and have completed Care Skills and Care of the Older Person Modules)
* Be available to work days/nights/weekends
* Some previous experience as an HCA
* Some experience working with people living with dementia (preferable)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Proactive, compassionate approach, putting residents’ wellbeing and engagement first
