The OpportunityWe are partnering with a leading international fund servicing and banking group to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Accountant/Financial Controller on an initial contract basis. This role sits within a well-established Finance function supporting regulated Irish entities and branches within a global group structure.This is a hands-on financial control role with broad exposure across management reporting, statutory and regulatory reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with senior management and group counterparts.ResponsibilitiesThe OpportunityThe Financial Controller will support the production of monthly management accounts and MI, regulatory and statutory reporting, and financial planning activities across multiple Irish-regulated entities. You will work closely with the Finance leadership team to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality financial outputs in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.Prepare monthly management accounts, MI packs and statistics for senior management and quarterly Board reportingSupport the preparation of annual statutory accounts and respond to internal/external audit and tax queriesAssist with month-end and quarter-end close, including variance analysis versus prior periods and budgetPrepare quarterly income forecasts and support the annual budgeting processCompile and analyse monthly financial and operational statistics (e.g. aged debtors, asset movements, client income)Produce detailed reporting and submissions for Group Head OfficeAssist with regulatory reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual), including but not limited to RS2, RV2, RC2, CRS2, SQ2, MTS, FINREP and ANLASupport the preparation and submission of bi-monthly VAT returnsAssist with accounts payable and receivable reconciliationsManage cash flow planning, liquidity and banking relationshipsOversee treasury activities including payments, investment accounts and credit facilitiesLiaise with finance peers across the wider international groupIdentify opportunities for process improvement, automation and efficiency within FinanceContribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as requiredExperience & Skills RequiredThird-level qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineQualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)5+ years’ experience in a Financial Controller or senior financial reporting roleStrong experience in management accounts, forecasting and variance analysisAdvanced Excel skills; confident using PowerPoint and WordExcellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to self-review and validate outputsStrong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholdersAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated finance environmentExposure to regulatory reporting within a banking or asset servicing environmentExperience with SAS and/or OneSumXPrior experience within financial services, asset servicing, banking or fund administrationWhy Consider This Role?Opportunity to work within a high-profile, regulated financial services groupBroad exposure across financial control, regulatory reporting and senior stakeholdersCollaborative, professional finance team with strong internal supportHybrid and flexible working arrangementsCompetitive daily or monthly contract rate
