We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our People team in Galway. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that combines employee partnership with day-to-day HR administration to support a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare technology organisation. As an on-the-ground presence in Galway, you will act as a trusted People Partner to employees based in the office, while supporting the broader People team in delivering efficient HR operations and initiatives across the region.
You Will:
- Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on company policies, Irish employment legislation, and HR best practices.
- Support employee relations by advising on performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance resolution in line with Irish employment law.
- Help coordinate and facilitate training programmes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and the full employee lifecycle for Galway and Irish employees working closely with the COE to include supporting benefits queries, and compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
- Support compliance activities, including preparation for and response to WRC inspections or employee complaints.
- Participate in health and safety initiatives in compliance with Irish Health and Safety Authority (HSA) standards.
- Coordinate internal job changes, promotions, and employee lifecycle changes, ensuring accuracy in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Contribute to HR projects and programmes aimed at improving employee experience and operational effectiveness
- Support the coordination and facilitation of employee engagement initiatives and learning opportunities.
- Assist with audits, compliance checks, and preparation of documentation for regulatory purposes (e.g. WRC, HSA).
- Collaborate with the wider People team to implement company-wide programmes and ensure alignment with local needs.
- Support general administrative tasks within the People function, including reporting, correspondence, and HRIS updates.
What You Will Bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, ideally within Ireland or EMEA.
- Strong understanding of Irish employment legislation and HR compliance.
- Demonstrated experience supporting employee relations issues and disciplinary processes.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and work in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- High level of attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/Google Sheets.
Experience with compensation analysis or job evaluation is an advantage.
