About Usher Syndrome Ireland
Usher Syndrome Ireland is a peer‑led national charity supporting people living with Usher syndrome - a rare genetic condition that affects both hearing and vision.
We exist to ensure that no one faces this journey alone. Through connection, trusted information, advocacy, and support for research, we are building a stronger, more visible community for those living with progressive dual sensory loss in Ireland.
As a small but growing organisation, every Board member plays a meaningful role in shaping our future and impact.
About the Role
We are looking for a Treasurer (Trustee) who wants to use their financial expertise for purpose.
This is an opportunity to help guide a patient‑led organisation at a critical stage of growth, ensuring we remain sustainable, transparent, and ambitious in what we deliver for our community.
You’ll be joining a Board that values lived experience, collaboration, and integrity, and where your contribution will directly support people navigating life with progressive sight and hearing loss.

Support the organisation in growing responsibly, including funding and income planning

As a peer‑led organisation, we are especially keen to ensure lived experience continues to shape our Board
What you’ll gain
The opportunity to contribute to a purpose‑driven, patient‑led organisation
A chance to use your professional skills in a meaningful and impactful way
Experience contributing at Board level within a growing national charity
