IT Manager – Systems Administration
Permanent Contract
TG4 is seeking to recruit an IT Manager – Systems Administration to be based at TG4 Headquarters in the Galway Gaeltacht. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the role will provide technical support and helpdesk services for TG4's IT systems.

The Role
The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to shape and lead core IT strategies within TG4. They will work in a collaborative, supportive team environment and receive exposure to exciting technologies including systems supporting broadcast and media operations.
The duties of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
· Shape and implement cybersecurity policy - safeguard our systems and data.
· Administer our Microsoft 365 environment - ensure best-practice governance.
· Oversee our on - prem and cloud-based infrastructure - maintain system integrity and performance.
· Support our SaaS deployments, ensuring high availability and reliability.
· Manage Active Directory and Entra ID, handling identity and access control.
· Participate in internal network infrastructure projects, helping to design and deploy scalable solutions.
· Oversee firewall rules and policies, ensuring network security and compliance.
· Develop and maintain backup strategies and data protection policies.
· Oversee data and computer usage policy enforcement.
· Develop and lead IT training programs for staff and collaborate with HR to increase awareness and compliance.
· Help develop IT standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation.
· Lead and manage our internal IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability.
· Support patch management, change management processes, and ensure high availability of critical infrastructure.
· Any other reasonable responsibilities as determined by the Director based on the needs of the business
Job Requirements:
· A Level 8 or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
· At least 3 years of experience in an IT administration role, within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) or larger.
· Strong, hands-on experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and Intune.
· Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
· A strong grasp of IT governance, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
Irish is the working language of TG4. A willingness to learn and practice Irish in the workplace is essential and lessons will be provided where necessary.

Working Hours:
39 hours per week. Due to the requirements of the position, flexibility is expected from time to time, including work outside of office hours, some weekends, and public holidays.
Holidays:
In addition to statutory public holidays, you will be entitled to 23 days of paid annual leave.
Pension:
TG4 staff members are entitled to join the TG4 Group Pension Scheme, subject to the terms of any existing scheme.
Travel:
From time to time, travel may be required as part of the role, both within Ireland and abroad.
