We are now seeking a passionate and energetic Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Conference & Banqueting team, primarily supporting events, weddings and conferences across the hotel.
About the Role
As a Food & Beverage Assistant in our Conference & Banqueting department, you will be an integral part of delivering seamless, high-quality service for events of all sizes. Working closely with your team, you will help create exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, elegant presentation, and flawless execution.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their work, and takes pride in contributing to once-in-a-lifetime celebrations and prestigious events.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient Food & Beverage service across weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events.
* Set up, service, and clear function rooms in line with event specifications and hotel standards.
* Serve food and beverages to 5* standards during banquets, receptions, and conference breaks.
* Greet guests warmly and assist with queries to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event experience.
* Maintain excellent knowledge of menus, beverages, and service styles relevant to events and banqueting.
* Ensure all function areas are impeccably presented, clean, and well-stocked before, during, and after events.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and management to ensure events run seamlessly.
* Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee consistency, safety, and excellence.
* Assist with billing, POS transactions, and cash handling where required.
* Support other Food & Beverage outlets across the hotel when business demands.
What You Bring
* Previous experience in a Food & Beverage role, ideally within conference, banqueting, or a hotel environment.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A professional, friendly, and well-presented manner.
* Fluent English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to remain calm, organised, and efficient during busy event service.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
* A positive, solutions-focused attitude and pride in your work.
