Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Cost Management Specialist to join a reputable main contractor working on a prestigious new apartment development in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full lifecycle of cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the project
* Prepare and manage tender packages, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration
* Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure commercial targets are met
* Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
* Prepare monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts
* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations
* Work closely with the site team to ensure cost efficiency and value engineering
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline and at least 5+ years' post-graduate experience in residential projects with a main contractor or developer. Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and a proven track record in managing multi-unit housing/apartment developments are also essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of projects. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve profitability through effective cost control and financial planning.
