We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor to join our team in the Power sector. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and policies.
The EHS Advisor role involves implementing and maintaining EHS management systems, conducting audits and inspections, and reporting on business EHS risks and trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and CSA regulations, as well as experience working with sub-contractors and EHS management systems.
As an EHS Advisor, you will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and workers to identify training needs, provide leadership and coordination, and ensure that all EHS matters are addressed promptly. You will also be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and instruction in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives, and employees.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines. Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and auditing is also essential.
