Job Description
Salary: Up to €30,000 per year | Hours: 30 per week (Mon–Thu, 8:30–5:00) | Location: Hybrid (min. 2 days in Glasnevin) | Contract: 1 year fixed term
FIT is a national charity supporting inclusive pathways into tech careers. We are recruiting an Employability Mentor to support participants at risk of unemployment due to disability. The role focuses on personalised mentoring, training support, employer engagement, and advocacy within a rights‑based, person‑centred model.
Responsibilities
Provide structured, person‑centred mentoring and empathetic support.
Facilitate workshops online and in‑person.
Develop and deliver content for a six‑module work‑preparation programme.
Advocate for participants and support their career development.
Work 1:1 with participants during and up to six months after programme completion.
Engage with inclusive employers to support job matching.
Maintain accurate records, CRM entries, reporting, and attend team meetings.
This vacancy is suitable for Remote/Blended working. Sector: other service activities. Career Level: Experienced (Non‑Managerial).
Qualifications
Essential
NFQ Level 6+ in a relevant field, or 5 years’ experience.
Experience supporting disabled or neurodivergent people or those progressing toward work.
Demonstrated understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud‑based systems.
Highly Desirable
Familiarity with Pobal CRM or community development best practice.
Desirable Skills
Administration, Communications, Interpersonal Skills, Personal/Social Care.
Networking, Teamwork, Working on own Initiative.
