Job Purpose
We are seeking a senior technical leader to join our Professional Services team as Head of Delivery Engineering. In this role, you will lead our Development and Implementation teams, driving technical excellence and embedding industry best practices to ensure both high‑quality delivery and efficient execution of customised components across our On‑Premise and SaaS digital banking solutions.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and our parent company to shape and propose scalable deployment models, ensure alignment between engineering and delivery functions, and provide hands‑on technical leadership to our Solution Architecture team.
Hybrid Working Model requires employees to be on‑site three days per week—specifically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Engineering Leadership
Lead and manage development teams specialising in Web Development and API integration, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, client‑specific customisations that enhance overall delivery efficiency and reusability.
Ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and compliance of delivered solutions.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery development practices and tooling by leveraging cutting‑edge AI technologies and industry‑standard frameworks to enhance development efficiency, code quality, and deployment velocity.
Solution Architecture Partnership
Collaborate closely with the Head of Solution Architecture to define, refine, and implement best practices during the Discovery and Design phases, ensuring alignment with client needs and delivery excellence.
Provide hands‑on technical support during pre‑sales engagements partnering with our Solution Architecture & Sales Team.
Act as a mentor to Solution Architects to strengthen their customer engagement capabilities and elevate the quality of our solution documentation.
Promote the adoption of Agile methodologies throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.
Engineering Liaison
Act as the conduit between engineering and delivery teams.
Facilitate technical alignment, sprint planning, and backlog prioritisation to meet delivery milestones.
Strategic Deployment Collaboration
Partner with the parent company to co‑develop strategic deployment models.
Influence the product roadmap by providing delivery‑driven insights that help reduce Professional Services implementation costs and accelerate project execution.
Governance & Risk Management
Identify technical risks and lead mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
Critical Competencies
Digital banking domain expertise, with deep knowledge of modern digital payment ecosystems, customer journeys, and platform capabilities.
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a Professional Services or Delivery organisation.
Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures, APIs, and integration frameworks.
Proficiency in web technologies (e.g., Angular, React, JavaScript) and backend/API development (e.g., Java, .NET, RESTful APIs).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and AI‑enhanced development tooling.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical teams.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
Experience working in matrixed organisations or with parent companies on strategic initiatives.
Demonstrate strong customer engagement and act as a trusted technical advisor by understanding clients’ business needs and translating them into actionable technical requirements that align with the CR2 solution.
Experience working in matrixed organisations and with global or parent company stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or Agile/DevOps are a plus.
