We are now seeking a meticulous and highly organised
Bookkeeper
to join our team at James Whelan Butchers' Head Office in Clonmel. This is a
fully on-site position
and a newly created role that reflects our continued growth. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the smooth and accurate financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry of invoices, receipts, payments, and price files.
• Reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts.
• Maintaining ledgers and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
• Preparing financial reports and summaries as needed.
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Assisting with inventory management and stock control.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
