Galway, County Galway, IrelandCompany: BitrecruitClient / Employer: OccupopPosted: 20.05.2026Job reference: 00e2cdf10f30997680fa7a76cf8baeb9Job InformationLocation: Galway, County Galway, IrelandClient / Employer: OccupopListing type: BasicEU work permit required: NoPosted: 20.05.2026ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for the repair and maintenance of HGVs, plant, and equipment to support the operation of the business.Maintain company HGVs, trailers, plant, and waste equipment to maximise efficiency of the fleet.Plan and co‑ordinate maintenance and CVRT testing of all equipment with line manager / supervisor in line with the maintenance schedule.Work on different vehicles at any given time.Assist with planning of vehicle maintenance, ordering of parts and coordination of works with other garage staff.Review current workload and resource planning weekly.Assist with planning works for the following weeks and identify procurement items that must be sourced by others; deliver ongoing status reports when required.Maintain workshop area in a safe and cost‑effective manner.Use vehicle diagnostic systems.Work independently and as part of a team.Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.Qualifications and ExperienceFive plus years’ experience desirable.Experience in hydraulics desirable but not essential.Experience of MIG welding desirable.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment to meet deadlines without compromising quality.Full clean driver’s licence (Class C).
