This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in managing Corporation Tax compliance across the UK, Ireland, and offshore entities, while supporting business‑wide tax initiatives and contributing to impactful projects.
What you’ll do:
As a UK Corporate Tax Accountant, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility over corporation tax matters for multiple entities. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve preparing comprehensive tax computations, maintaining robust balance sheet controls, and ensuring full compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. You will have the opportunity to assess new legislation as it arises, providing valuable insights that help shape business decisions. By identifying process improvements—especially those involving automation—you will contribute directly to greater efficiency across the organisation.
* Prepare detailed tax computations for UK, Ireland, and offshore entities with precision and care, ensuring all reporting meets statutory requirements.
* Manage balance sheet controls and maintain compliance with internal controls for tax across multiple jurisdictions.
* Identify opportunities for improvements in tax compliance and reporting processes by finding efficiencies and automation possibilities, then support the implementation of these changes throughout the business.
* Assess ongoing industry developments and legislative changes to provide timely advice to the wider business on their impact.
* Offer expert tax advice to other areas of the organisation by considering the implications of business initiatives and supporting effective implementation from a tax perspective.
* Review the integrity and reliability of systems used for tax compliance purposes to identify any weaknesses or areas of risk that may affect reporting accuracy.
* Support other team members with various tax compliance activities as required, fostering a collaborative approach within the department.
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and statutory tax disclosures with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy across all financial reporting.
* Contribute actively to team projects aimed at improving overall tax management processes within the organisation.
* Engage with stakeholders across departments to share knowledge about best practices in tax compliance and reporting.
What you bring:

Your background should include relevant qualifications such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent), along with deep technical understanding of current legislation affecting corporate taxation. You will possess excellent organisational skills enabling you to handle substantial data sets methodically while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Experience related to VAT & employment taxes adds further value but isn’t essential if you’re eager to expand your expertise.

* Demonstrated expertise in Corporation Tax supported by up-to-date technical knowledge of current legislation is required.
* Strong accounting skills are necessary for preparing accurate computations and disclosures across multiple entities.
* Experience using SAP & Onesource software would be advantageous but is not mandatory; willingness to learn new systems is important.
* Proven ability to process large volumes of data efficiently while maintaining high standards of organisation is highly valued.
