As Automation Engineer (DeltaV Specialist), you will be a key contributor to the Process Automation function, owning change control and providing expert support on Emerson DeltaV to keep manufacturing seamless from early to late stage.

Key responsibilities
* Provide expert automation support for Emerson DeltaV DCS and integrated OEM systems, including root‑cause analysis and resolution of complex automation issues.
* Lead or support continuous improvement and optimization initiatives: review equipment specifications, P&IDs, and system life cycle documentation; propose robust control strategies and standards.
* Own changes to support new products and process improvements while maintaining cGMP compliance and data integrity.
* Partner with Process Engineering to define scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria for automation changes; deliver to specification, schedule, and quality.
* Support technology transfer from early‑stage pipeline facilities to GMP operational status; ensure line of sight to commercial supply with compliant, scalable configurations.
* Actively contribute to Digital Transformation: system integrations (DeltaV, Siemens, OSI PI, MES/LIMS), secure data connectivity, validation approaches, and value‑based optimization through advanced control and analytics.
* Contribute to commissioning and qualification activities; develop and execute test protocols; maintain robust documentation and standards.
* Champion good engineering practices, cybersecurity awareness for control systems, and lifecycle management of automation assets.
What you will need
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Life Sciences (or equivalent practical experience in automation/control systems).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Automation Engineering within a biologics/pharmaceutical GMP environment; candidates with deeper experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
* Emerson DeltaV expertise, including DeltaV Batch.
* Siemens TIA Portal experience (PLC/HMI development, commissioning, troubleshooting).
* OSI PI experience (data historian configuration, asset framework, event frames).
* Practical application of ISA S95 and ISA S88 to batch process design, recipe development, and equipment modeling in GMP manufacturing.
* Hands‑on computer system validation and SDLC experience; working knowledge of GAMP 5 and automation change control procedures.
* Experience in commissioning and qualification, including test protocol development and execution.
* Networking familiarity is advantageous: Ethernet/IP, OPC (Classic/UA), Profinet, Modbus TCP; understanding of secure segmentation for OT networks is a plus.
* Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills; ability to balance agility with compliance.
Nice‑to‑have (not required)
* Experience integrating DeltaV with MES/LIMS or PAT systems.
* Exposure to batch analytics, advanced process control, or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
* Awareness of OT cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., IEC
