Our client is an investment manager for a diverse portfolio of equity and project finance investments in technology related businesses and renewable energy generation plants.
Our client are seeking a part-qualified accountant to join their growing finance and operations team reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The role will support the financial management of EIIS funds and SPVs, regulatory and compliance processes, and investor-related reporting. The successful candidate will also play a key role in reviewing KYC/AML documentation for investors and investee companies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accountant to gain hands-on experience in investment management, EIIS structures, and regulated financial services.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation of management accounts for EIIS funds, SPVs, and corporate entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and bank reconciliations.
* Support the year-end accounting process and liaise with external auditors, ensuring accurate financial records and documentation are maintained.
* Assist with tax-related filings and compliance requirements relevant to EIIS structures.
* Work closely with the CFO to support and project-manage IT and business initiatives, ensuring data integrity across the firm's data warehouse and investment systems.
* Support the financial aspects of EIIS investments and exits, including interest calculations for debt products and monitoring investee company financial performance.
* Assist with EIIS fundraising activities and support the development and ongoing management of broker and financial adviser networks.
* Respond to investor queries and provide accurate, timely financial and investment-related information.
* Review KYC/AML documentation for investors and investee companies, perform CDD and EDD where required, and maintain AML records in line with regulatory requirements.
* Support ongoing compliance monitoring, periodic reviews, and interactions with compliance advisers and regulators.
* Contribute to continuous process improvements across finance and operations and provide ad-hoc support to senior management as required.
Candidate Profile
Essential
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* 1-3 years' relevant experience in accounting, funds, financial services, or professional services
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good understanding of financial statements
* Comfortable reviewing documentation and working with regulatory processes
* Strong Excel skills
Desirable
* Experience in investment management, funds, private equity, or EIIS
* Previous exposure to KYC/AML processes
* Experience working with auditors or compliance advisorsKnowledge of Irish financial services regulation
