Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Program Management
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other relevant authorities.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Maintain required permits, certifications, and reporting documentation.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses.
Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; implement corrective and preventive actions.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
Training & Culture Development
Develop and deliver EHS training programs (e.g., hazard communication, PPE, emergency response).
Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for employees and management.
Environmental Management
Monitor waste management, air emissions, water discharge, and environmental impact.
Support sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance programs.
Prepare and submit environmental reports as required by regulatory agencies.
Emergency Preparedness
Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
Collaborate with local emergency responders when necessary.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Track and analyze safety metrics (TRIR, near misses, incident rates).
Prepare EHS reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
Recommend continuous improvement strategies based on data trends.
