Avista are recruiting a CNS in Health Promotion and Protection to support services within the remit of St. Louises Centre.
The successful candidate should have a Level 8 qualification and have, or be able to complete, a master's in research once appointed.
St Louise's Centre provides community and residential based services for individuals with an intellectual disability.

Ref: Essential: Be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Have a minimum of five years post registration experience, with a minimum 3 years in the area of intellectual disabilities Practices safely and effectively to a very high standard in leading teams thus fulfilling his/her professional responsibilities within his/her scope of practice.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Have Level 8 qualification in the related field or be willing to complete an MSc in Health Promotion and Protection.
Have excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.
Commitment to a person-centred approach, community inclusion and the individual needs of the person Ability to lead out on specific health promotion initiatives with persons supported and staff members.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with families, all stakeholders, the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies.
Knowledgeable of the following, Health Act 2017 (Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centre's for Persons (Children and Adults) With Disabilities) Regulations 2013, shaping the future of intellectual Disability Nursing in Ireland (2018) and Slintecare (2018).
Full driving licence and access to own transport.
Desirable: Experience in delivering training Good knowledge of IT systems/excel and word processing Qualification relevant to people management Previous experience in auditing process Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework as set out in the job description.
