Job Description
The Product Analyst works within the Fidelity Workplace Investing Agile Model as a member of the SPS Customer Solutions Chapter. Product Analysts collaborate with Product Area Leads, Initiative Leads, and Squad Leads to elicit, document, and translate high-complexity business requirements into Agile feature-level epics. They also develop and execute business acceptance test plans, test strategies, and implement solutions to ensure the highest level of integrity, accuracy, and quality in the final product.
The Product Analyst must have proven experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key attributes include being highly motivated, self-starters with a sense of ownership, and driven to succeed. The Product Analyst is effective working individually and within a team.
Responsibilities include:
1. Initiate and lead discovery for Feature/Epic Definition with Squad Leader and Scrum Master to prioritize Epics.
2. Ensure analysis artifacts (e.g., use cases and supporting documentation) are updated and available for story execution.
3. Write feature-level (Sub-Initiative) epics and facilitate story grooming/refinement sessions to meet the Definition of Ready.
4. Lead collaboration with key Business, IT, Legal, Compliance & Risk partners to define product features and monitor trends.
5. Establish stakeholder meetings, including demos of sprint deliverables and impact analysis results.
6. Lead organizational readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle to proactively mitigate delivery risks.
7. Communicate issues and client feedback to the Squad Leader clearly and promptly.
8. Act as Subject Matter Expert in Release Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives for assigned initiatives and features.
9. Create, document, and review initiatives, Sub-Initiatives, Epics, and Stories.
10. Identify business requirements, document improvement opportunities, and share findings with Scrum Team and PA Community of Practice.
11. Collaborate with the QA team on test plan review to clarify epic requirements and acceptance criteria.
12. Perform End-to-End Business Acceptance Testing and ensure traceability of test cases.
13. Assist with readiness and deployment activities for each release.
Expertise and Skills:
* 5+ years of experience with business analyst techniques such as elicitation, current/future state analysis, flow diagramming, benchmarking, business rules, risk analysis, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.
* Agile mindset; experience with Jira or similar tools, Confluence, Mural preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* CPAB/CSPO Certification desirable.
* Strong problem-solving, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating across multiple teams and business units.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to facilitate workshops or speak publicly to broad audiences.
* Strong time management skills.
* Ability to produce clear, concise documentation and communications.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

SPS Product Development supports business and technology initiatives, including new products and improvements to existing products.
