As the primary client contact for Private Debt, the person will oversee loan trade capture, trade affirmation to loan lenders, lifecycle event processing and asset servicing on the FIS VPM Platform.The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, resolve conflicts quickly, and add value by managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision, exemplary follow-through, and attention to detail. A familiarity with middle office loan trading support and debt security products is an advantage but not required.Principal ResponsibilitiesSupport the daily processing for loan securities including Private Debt loans, Direct Lending loans, Club loans, and broadly syndicated loans (BSLs) such as Term Loans, Revolvers, Delayed Draw Term Loans.Identify incoming agent notices and process all lifecycle events for portfolios containing multiple asset types.Collaborate with Loan Administrators to interpret and resolve exceptions.Communicate clearly with agent banks to confirm and obtain loan notices.Communicate with internal and external parties including Loan Agents, Fund Accountants, Recon, Custody, Auditors, Vendors, and Clients as required.Support the daily processing for securities including Bonds, Equities and FX Forwards.Coordinate between clients, loan agents and internal teams to resolve breaks and open reconciliations for timely settlement.Process trade corrections and manage pre-settlement confirmations for private loan securities, including debt, equities, and bonds traded in international markets.Manage daily activities by providing clients with portfolio positions, posting transactions, and delivering information to Fund Accounting teams.Investigate and reconcile breaks and follow established escalation processes.Monitor trade capture and upload trades to the FIS VPM Platform.Create and maintain process flows and control tools for new business needs.Build and maintain internal and external relationships.Take on additional responsibilities and administrative tasks as required by managers or clients.Skills / ExperienceLoan administration and private debt financial security instruments experienceExperience of the Private Debt trade flowExperience with FIS VPM vended application is an advantageAbility to work under pressure and maintain high standards with tight deadlines and high volumesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPointExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven team player with ownership and collaboration across the teamKnowledge of custody, securities lending, prime brokerage, market trading practices and position processingWorking With UsAs a Northern Trust partner, you will be part of a flexible and collaborative work culture in a financially strong and stable organization that fosters new ideas.
