Role Summary
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service at the trade counter and over the phone, ensuring a positive experience for both retail and trade customers. Key responsibilities include advising customers on product selection, operating the in-house stock and sales system, and communicating effectively with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver first-class customer service at the trade counter and over the phone
- Advise customers on product selection, including technical features and benefits
- Operate the in-house stock and sales system, including handling cash and processing transactions
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure timely product sourcing and delivery
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of plumbing and heating products, with a willingness to continue learning
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the construction or building materials sector is essential
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail/trade counter environment
- Proficient IT skills, with a good working knowledge of standard software packages
