Senior Data Engineer
to support critical data initiatives within their asset management division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions that support investment, research, and trading functions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
The Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data solutions to meet complex business requirements.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse data needs, enhance data quality, and deliver robust, performance-driven data pipelines.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining database solutions (Oracle)
Building and optimising ETL processes
Performing in-depth data analysis and performance tuning
Contributing to best engineering practices including testing and deployment
Delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code
Collaborating within an Agile development environment
Your Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years' experience working with
Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
Strong background in
data analysis and performance tuning
Experience working in Agile environments
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of
relational databases and data modelling
Experience with
ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
Exposure to
data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with
AWS services, Data APIs, Snowflake, or Python
(advantageous)
Experience with
Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to financial or investment domains is a plus
