The role of a Qualified Accountant involves ensuring day-to-day client files and audits are completed correctly and within the given timeframes. This includes supporting junior team members with questions and queries to guarantee accurate work production, delivering client work of the highest standards while adhering to legal and statutory requirements, and receiving correct client documentation in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
The candidate will be responsible for handling client requests and queries professionally, recording chargeable time accurately, and preparing client paperwork (accounts, tax, PAYE, VAT) within allocated deadlines to enable timely submission to HMRC.
Additionally, the successful candidate will represent the firm in a professional manner through appearance, conduct, and attitude, planning their workload effectively to ensure deadlines are met and work is ready for sign-off.
A quality-focused individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills is required. The ideal candidate should be dependable, reliable, and self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong process management and organizational skills are essential to minimize time spent on administration, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills is necessary, along with adaptability, honesty, professionalism, and a commitment to quality, deadlines, and continuous improvement.
