Cork Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Senior Management / Project Team Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in a site-based role, supporting multiple large-scale residential developments in Cork.
While the company head office is in Mallow, this role will operate mainly from site compound offices, with a strong on-site presence required due to the nature of the work.
Site Location & Projects The EHS Manager will oversee health, safety and environmental compliance across the following live and upcoming residential projects: Site in Midleton 63 residential units Target completion: June Site in Mallow 380 residential units Currently Phase 3 of 5 Site in Mallow 470 residential units Groundworks underway Construction commencement expected June Working Arrangement Role is predominantly site-based Expected site start time: 7:008:00am Standard working week: 40 hours Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all EHS activities across multiple construction sites Ensure compliance with Irish health, safety & environmental legislation Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments Develop, implement and enforce EHS procedures and systems Work closely with Project Managers and site teams Act as the senior EHS representative across projects Provide guidance and mentorship to EHS support personnel Team Structure One EHS Advisor (currently in position, reporting into this role) Site support includes: Project Managers Document Controller Candidate Profile Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager or Lead Health & Safety Officer on construction sites Strong background in residential housing developments preferred Comfortable working independently and being the senior EHS presence Confident engaging with site teams and management Practical, site-focused approach to safety leadership Package & Benefits Company van provided Diesel card included Company pension scheme Employer contribution up to 5% Employee may contribute any percentage Laptop, mobile phone and full site desk setup provided
