Overview
Medforce are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our client’s Adult Disability team based in Navan, County Meath. The role is primarily based in Navan, with outreach across the wider service area as required.
This is a 0.8 WTE post spread across Monday – Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunities.
The Senior OT will provide specialist OT input to clients with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The service promotes a person-centred, strengths-based approach and supports individuals to reach their full potential in daily life.
Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to adults with diverse and complex needs.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with service users, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide clinical supervision and support to Basic Grade OTs and contribute to student placements.
* Participate in service planning, quality improvement initiatives, and audit.
* Contribute to the development of local policies, procedures, and care pathways.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with professional standards.
* Liaise effectively with community, residential, and day service providers to ensure coordinated care.
Essential Criteria
* A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and CORU registration.
* 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least two years in adult disability or a closely related area.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a complex caseload and work autonomously.
* A full, clean driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
