Technical Specialist – Manufacturing Equipment Engineering
Location: Fully Onsite
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Overview
This role is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing equipment performance, reliability, and uptime. The successful candidate will work independently on complex technical challenges, lead equipment‑related initiatives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, select, and procure manufacturing equipment that is appropriate and cost‑effective for production needs.
Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Maintain current records relating to equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety information.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance and reliability.
Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment uptime and address manufacturing equipment issues.
Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair teams and process engineering function.
Define and develop preventive maintenance strategies and schedules.
Drive process, system, and equipment improvements to enhance manufacturing performance and efficiency.
Manage or contribute to technical projects from design through implementation.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Advanced degree (desired).
Minimum of 4 years relevant industry experience with a Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience with an advanced degree.
Demonstrated experience working with manufacturing equipment, equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and technical project delivery.
Practical project management experience is advantageous.
Advanced technical knowledge within manufacturing equipment engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of equipment reliability, maintenance systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to work on complex technical problems with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
