The Project Management Function manages a BU (Business Unit) project or program to a successful outcome. This role is responsible for aligning resources, overseeing budgets, working with senior stakeholders, implementing and managing overall program governance, creating project plans, and tracking key milestones/risks/dependencies.
This is the key coordinator to ensure implementation of critical business capabilities or regulatory change.
Responsibilities include managing large-scale, enterprise-wide programs with multiple projects and work streams. Programs involve delivery of critical strategic business capabilities or regulatory changes that impact multiple business units or disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Focus on execution of a program initiated to deliver a change in the strategic direction of business function activities.
* Manages implementation of complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
* Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business and technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
* Communication of program objectives; risks; issues, and overall status to multiple levels of the organization including senior stakeholders.
* Facilitation of cross-discipline (business unit) coordination for decision-making regarding scope, prioritization, and issue resolution.
* Implementation and management of the overall governance of the program, chairing meetings at multiple levels of the organization, and producing relevant reporting at all levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent communication skills; verbal, non-verbal, and written.
* In-depth functional; technical, and/or industry knowledge.
* Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
* Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Program's goals, structure, budget, and resource needs.
* People management skills to be able to manage all situations, liaise, and delegate.
* Teamwork skills to drive execution without direct reporting line responsibilities.
* Independent and proactive self-starter.
* Seasoned expert with program/project management expertise.
* Technical and/or business knowledge developed through previous industry experience.
* Experience in managing budgets and forecasting financials.
* High level of presentation skills to senior stakeholders.
* Waterfall and agile methodology experience required.
