Job Title: Contracts Manager
Our client, one of Ireland’s leading structural steel contractors, is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their expanding team based in Kilkenny. The company works on a variety of multi-million euro complex projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, including projects in the Dublin area.
The successful candidate will lead medium to large-scale projects, potentially managing 2-3 simultaneously. The role involves overseeing the successful delivery of works from planning through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations across multiple active projects, ensuring smooth coordination and delivery.
* Collaborate with the Main Contractor and Design Team to define and agree on project timelines.
* Work closely with the Production Manager to align site activity with manufacturing schedules.
* Prepare and submit detailed Method Statements and RAMS.
* Lead and support on-site teams, including foremen, steel erectors, and subcontractors.
* Identify and engage subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
* Uphold the highest standards in health & safety and quality control throughout each project.
* Provide regular progress updates to senior management, including commercial and schedule updates.
* Track all site activity, including labour, plant, and materials.
* Maintain accurate site documentation for change orders, additions, and variations.
* Support the preparation of project final accounts and close-out documentation.
Requirements:
* Proven project management experience—ideally in structural steel.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with structural steel design and construction software such as Tekla, StrucCad, Strumis, or AutoCAD is advantageous.
* Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
* Excellent understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
* Hands-on experience in the fabrication and erection of structural steelwork.
* Knowledge of quality and safety standards including ISO 9001, ISO 18001, and CE Marking.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
