A leading Credit Union is seeking a strategic and experienced
Head of Operations
. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, crucial to ensuring operational excellence and leading IT across branches and member services.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Operations will play a key role in implementing company-wide initiatives connected to the Strategic Vision and have primary responsibility for ensuring strong member services and operational resilience across operations and IT. This position demands a blend of operational oversight, team leadership, change management and a deep commitment to delivering outstanding member service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership:
Ensure the efficient delivery of services across all channels, branches, online, and phone, while driving continuous operational improvements.
* Strategic Support:
Collaborate with the CEO and senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the credit union's goals.
* Risk & Compliance Management:
Work closely with Risk & Compliance teams to identify and manage operational risks, ensuring full adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
* Team Development:
Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
* IT Oversight:
Guide the IT function to meet operational needs and manage third-party providers
* Performance Management:
Develop and implement processes for continuous performance improvement and member service enhancement.
* Environmental & Social Governance (ESG):
Lead initiatives to reduce the credit union's carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices.
* Health & Safety:
Ensure a safe and compliant working environment across all locations.
Competencies Required:
* A third-level qualification in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or a relevant professional qualification.
* Experience in an operational management role within the financial services sector.
* Strong IT and analytical skills, with a track record in problem-solving and process improvement.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven success in people management.
* An understanding of regulatory requirements and experience in managing relationships with regulatory authorities.
Salary:
€75,000 to €90,000 plus benefits package
