The Role
We are looking for an experienced Showroom Sales & Interior Design Consultant to join our team. This role combines hands-on retail sales with lighting design and project coordination, making it ideal for someone with interior design experience who enjoys working directly with clients in a busy showroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day showroom sales and customer service
* Advising clients on decorative and architectural lighting solutions
* Preparing lighting layouts and plans for residential and commercial projects
* Working closely with architects, consulting engineers, interior designers, and design practices
* Liaising directly with clients from initial consultation through to order completion
* Managing customer orders, quotations, and follow-ups
* Supporting project coordination alongside internal and external stakeholders
Essential Requirements
* Previous retail experience, ideally within lighting, interiors, kitchens, or bathrooms
* Background or qualification in Interior Design (or strong practical experience)
* Confident dealing with customers face-to-face on a daily basis
* Experience producing or interpreting lighting plans
* Comfortable working with architects, engineers, and design professionals
* Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple client projects at once
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with lighting design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Dialux, similar)
* Knowledge of decorative, architectural, and technical lighting products
* Experience in a design-led or premium retail environment
